"Snowbird Paradise" - It is that time a year again when people that live in the north are looking for palces to go when it turns cold. I would recommend that Oceans One Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is the place to be. Last year we were there for the months of January and February in Room 1804. I would like to say that the accomendations were outstanding. The staff were very friendly and accomendating. The people that stay there are a mix of Canadians, New Yorkers, Pennsylvania, Ohio and other states. They are very friendly and there are different activities that are sponsored and/or supported by the hotel staff. I have stayed at other accomendations in the winter and I have to say that this hotel tops them all. I waited until this time of the year to do my review because I felt people looking for a place in the winter would be reviewing comments made by previous occupants and this would be available without having to scroll through numerous comments. Great Place! I scheduled my visit this year the first week I was there this year.

"Best view in Myrtle Beach!" - If you want a beautiful view of Myrtle, THIS is the hotel for you. Oceans One is a beautiful high rise hotel located in the heart of Myrle Beach. It's close to the boardwalk, and Family Kingdom. From the time you walk into the office to check-in, till you have to leave for home, you will have a great time and you'll find Oceans One is like a home away from home. We have stayed for the last 3 years, and would HIGHLY recommend it. We stay in a type 10 room. (1908)This room is a 2 bedroom and has floor to ceiling windows. The 1st bedroom overlooks "downtown" Myrtle Beach and Ocean Blvd. The 2nd bedroom's view is oceanfront. The balcony is large and wraps around so you can sit looking at the ocean or the blvd. There is a nice kitchen, 3 flatscreen TVs and even a washer/dryer. The staff is excellent. Mr Booth, the GM, and especially Frank and Theresa on evening shift are always there to help you and make sure you have a wonderful vacation. The staff takes pride in keeping up a clean, and modern hotel. The pools are in great shape. The walkways from the parkng area to the hotel are nice with a buffer area to keep you safe while crossing. Thanks for a great 10 days and we look forward to coming back soon.

"Great Place for Young Married Couples!" - We love Oceans One Resort. We first stayed here in May of 2010. The off season rate was great. The 2 bedroom suite that is 50% glass is incredible! The styling is so modern. Flat Screen TVs in each room. Hotel is very clean. My wife & I love it. Reason # 1 we love this place No bar, which means no parties, no abundance of drunks. Reason # 2 we love this place so much, there is not alot of kid things to do, its not really a family friendly resort (even though they do have a lazy river and a kids pool area). I don't mean that in a bad way. This is the perfect young couples hotel! This hotel is very simple. No extra frills, no "Pool Cops" like Landmark and other hotels have that make you wear arm bands while in the pool area. I have not seen a better hotel at Myrtle Beach. My only complaint is the front desk is across the road from the hotel and the front desk staff is not the friendliest. Our favorite place to stay at the beach, we have stayed here twice and we will be back!

"Good place to stay!!" - My family stayed at Oceans One in June 2011. We had the 2 bd/2 ba, and the views were great! Very clean room and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was great. The only things negative were: No in room coffee and check in was a nightmare. Everyone arriving that day (Saturday) was told to come back at 4:00. So at 4:00 there was a huge line and wait. There was no where to park at the unloading site and no carts. It took about an hour or so from the time we went to the office until we got to our room. The next time, and there will probably be a next time, we will wait until 5:00 or 6:00 to check in. Aside from that it is a very nice place. We also wished it had a beach bar.

"Awesome!! We loved it!" - After checking in to a hotel we had reserved down the street from Oceans One that turned into a nightmare, we got a refund and began the desperate search to find a 2-3 room suite at the last minute over the July 4th holiday. We called this hotel as we were driving up the street and were told that the only room available was a 3 room suite for a little over $2200 for our 4 night stay. Although we really wanted to stay there as we had visited Oceans One a couple of months ago while some family was staying there so we were already aware of how nice it was..........but I still refused to pay that much. As we were driving by the hotel they had a sign out that said "walk ins welcome" so even though we had just been told the only room available was $2,200+ for our stay, we still decided to stop. GLAD WE DID!! I did not mention the phone call and just appeared as a walk in guest. We were priced the same 3 room suite for $1500 which is still pretty high but considering it was the week of the 4th and we had no room and were desperate we decided to just bite the bullet and stay, again, so glad we did as this place is awesome! It is the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at in Myrtle Beach not to mention how large and luxurious our room was. The pools and lazy river were wonderful, our stay could not have been better although I would have liked to have paid less but considering the size of the room and the circumstances I really have no complaint. My only issue was the fact that we would like to stay in the future but feel like the only way to get a decent rate is to be a walk in and I am not willing to take the risk of showing up and not having a room. I asked about this at the front desk at checkout and if there was anyway to get the best possible rate but was simply told that the management gives the front desk staff the authority to use their best judgement with walk in's. I would love to stay here everytime we are at the beach and will always call to check the rate but if my recent stay is any indication, I may not be willing to pay the rate given in advance.

"We had an awesome vacation" - This was our first stay at Oceans One and first trip to Myrtle Beach. Overall the stay was a pleasant one. The only disappoint was the parking and unloading, which can be a little overwhelming. The staff was great, we plan to stay here again this year!

"Our winter getaway from cold weather!!" - We spent Jan. and Feb. as "winter angels" in Myrtle Beach, away from our cold and snowy home in Western New York. We had a glorious 3 bedroom unit, and couldn't believe the amount of space we had!! The kitchen was very easy to work in - lots of counter space, and it was well equipped. We loved the wall to wall glass in the living room and master, but our favorite part of this hotel was the fact that it was indoor corridors - no getting cold going or coming from the pool and hot tub, which we used every day. We are already booked for 2 more vacations - in November to enjoy the Christmas shows, and January-February.
